Iran Agricultural Research (Iran Agric Res: IAR), an international journal, has been published since 1971 by Shiraz University. IAR accepts research articles on original subjects in agriculture and related fields including agricultural extension and education, animal science, crop production and breeding, economics, food science, horticulture, agricultural machinery (Biosystem engineering), natural resources and environmental engineering (rangeland and watershed manegment, forestry, wood and paper technology, fisheries), plant biotechnology, plant protection, soil science, and water engineering. Manuscripts related to the mentioned subjects are considered for review if they contain information of direct significance to agriculture and related to living products.

The aims of the IAR Journal are: (i) to stimulate scientific research among Iranian scholars and their colleagues in other countries and (ii) to provide a forum for the exchange of information and dissemination of knowledge in the agricultural sciences.

Iran Agricultural Research accepts the following articles for publication:

A- Articles that have been written from the results of innovative agricultural research and related sciences and have new information to solve the agricultural problems of Iran or developing countries.

B- Review articles (sent or invited) that emphasize specific topics of interest to agricultural scientists.

This journal, like many international journals, examines articles as review articles whose authors have already done a lot of research on the topic of that article and have published at least 10 to 15 articles on the topic of the review article and in the reference list of the review article.

C- A letter to editor that exclusively reflects the opinions of an individual or an institution.

According to letter number 3/18/57132 dated 20/03/2017 of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, this journal has a scientific-research degree and is published in two quarterly forms.

This journal uses iThenticate software to prevent plagiarism in its published articles.

Please note that it is essential to send the Manuscript Submission Form, provided in "Guide for Authors", when submitting a manuscript. The submitted manuscripts without the form will not be considered for review.

That the maximum acceptable similarity is 20%. If the respected authors have done the similarity check through the hamsana.ir site, it is suggested to attach the relevant file when submitting the article through the site, so that the initial review process and as a result, the evaluation of the article can be done faster.

Peer-review: Double-blinded process (Each article is reviewed by at least three referees).

Papers reporting original research findings in all fields of agriculture and related subjects are acceptable for publication after critical review by reviewers (at lease three reviewers) and approval by the Editorial Board.

This journal has provided free, fast, and unlimited access to the contents of its published scientific articles in various fields of agricultural sciences in order to offer real and reliable scientific assistance to the agricultural community of Iran and other countries and to provide the possibility of enriching the scientific understanding of agricultural researchers in related topics.
