Iran Agricultural Research is a double-blind peer-reviewed semiannual journal, owned, managed, and published by Shiraz University since 1971. The journal publishes high-quality original research, reviews & letters in the field of agriculture and related fields including agricultural extension and education, animal science, crop production and breeding, economics, food science, horticulture, agricultural machinery (biosystem engineering), natural resources and environmental engineering (rangeland and watershed manegment, forestry, wood and paper technology, fisheries), plant biotechnology, plant protection, soil science, and water engineering.

This special issue of Iran Agricultural Research focuses on Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and the Environment, providing an interdisciplinary platform for cutting-edge research that applies data-driven methods, machine learning, and intelligent systems to address complex challenges in food production, sustainable resource management, and environmental protection.
The issue welcomes original research and review articles that advance theory and practice in areas such as smart and precision agriculture, remote sensing and geospatial analytics, water and soil resource management, climate change impacts, and AI-based decision support systems.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their manuscripts and contribute to this timely scholarly dialogue, with the submission deadline set for 20 March 2026.
